Remember when consumers complained that when they hold certain areas on the iPhone, the smartphone will automatically disconnect any ongoing calls on the phone itself. Dubbed as the grip of death, the problem is caused by an exposed area on the iPhone which is used as an antenna. Whenever the area is covered or being held by your hand, the signal will be disrupted which drops your calls.
On the other hand, it seems that Apple is trying to rectify the problem – through an unconventional method. Apple has recently started an Apple iPhone 4 case program, whereby consumers that bought the iPhone 4 prior to September the 30th will receive one of these cases for free.
