Leading renewable energy evangelists have placed their utmost trust on solar technology, in which they predicted that solar energy would become the world’s mainstream renewable energy in the near future. However, current solar panels have yet to reach the energy-producing efficiency that makes it a viable alternative source of energy, but surely, various concerted efforts are being implemented in order to boost the solar panel’s energy output.
In fact, the scientists at Stanford have gotten a breakthrough in their solar panels, in which their research has unveiled solar panels that are more efficient and with extended durability too. The scientists use sometime called the nanocrystalline-silicon, which is extremely resilient and highly conductive. Dubbed as the nanoshells, these silicon spheres trap and recirculate light very efficiently. Perhaps we’ll be seeing more solar panels in the near future?
