Nikon Posts Q3 2011 Earnings |

Almost every major electronics manufacturer has suffered tremendous loss for Q3 2012, and Nikon is one of such companies. In fact, Nikon has just posted their Q3 2011 earnings, and according to their report, the company made a whopping loss of ¥10.9 billion or approximately $143.1 million. Nikon attributed the loss due to the widespread flooding in Thailand that damaged their manufacturing plant in October last year.
Operating profits for Nikon also suffered severely, whereby the figure fell ¥8.2 billion from ¥18.6 billion in 2010. Revenue wasn’t spared too, in which total revenue dipped from ¥253.8 billion in Q3 2010 to ¥215.4 billion, last quarter. Although the company remained optimistic this year, in which they estimate a forecasted gains of ¥55 billion this year, with revenue peaking at ¥925 billion.
